Day 319 - Brake Lines Completed

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

After much umming and ahhing, questions like “I’ve run the brake line from here to there, but now where do I go?”, and borrowing a pipe bending tool from work - finally all the front brake lines are completed and the rear brake line is finished.  The lines still need to be flared and connected to flexible hoses.

Now it’s time to run the fuel lines and emission lines.

Day 312 - Pedal Box & Brake Master Cylinder

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

I have moved and re-drilled the pedal box mount, installed the brake master cylinder, put in a nutsert to attach the proportioning valve and started to install the brackets through the transmission tunnel to carry both the brake and fuel/emission lines (the bracket can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the right picture).  I have also secured the aluminium base for the scuttle to sit on.  Whilst it doesn’t sound like much, every little bit helps bring it all together.

After much anticipation - my Nissan SR20DET S14 Black Top front cut has made it through customs and been delivered to Adelaide.   Now I just need to wait a few days while the guys unpack the crate.  This is getting exciting!!  I also bought an engine hoist/stand today ready for when it arrives home……. yeah ha!!
